Vendor Applications Available for Market House
The city plans to open the historic market in fall.

A historic downtown market is getting ready to open its doors this fall.
In a city news release, Annapolis Mayor Josh Cohen announced that vendor applications for the are now available through the Department of Public Works.
"I am thrilled that we are on track to begin a new chapter for the Market House," Cohen said in the statement. "The Market House is authentically Annapolis, and it is a core responsibility of City government. Reopening it is critical to downtown’s economy and to our identity as a community."

Interested vengdors are invited to request an application from by callling (410)-216-9001, the release states. The review of applications will start on June 11 and interviews could begin as early as June 18.
There are eight vendor stalls and four small kiosk spaces are available leases, according to the statement. Adjacent vendor spaces can also be combined to create larger spaces.

“This is not about a quick fix–this is about doing it right," Cohen said in the statement. "When it reopens this fall, it will have a quality mix of local and regional vendors selling good food with a Chesapeake connection."
