What's Open, Closed in Annapolis for New Year's Holiday 2016
Annapolis city offices will be closed on Jan. 2, and changes to trash service. And it's your last chance to use plastic yard waste bags.

(Updated Dec. 30) ANNAPOLIS, MD — City of Annapolis government offices will be closed on Monday, January 2, for the New Year holiday. Refuse and recycling will be shifted by one day, so if your normal collection day is on Monday, then collection will occur on Tuesday. If your normal collection day is on Tuesday, then collection will take place on Wednesday.
Due to the holiday change in collection dates, yard waste will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 31. There will be no yard waste collection on Wednesday, Jan. 4, but collection will resume on Jan. 11.
The Annapolis Transit schedule will also be affected by the holiday. There will be no service on Sunday, January 1, but Annapolis Transit will operate a Sunday schedule on Monday, January 2.
