VIN 909 Winecafe: The restaurant located at 909 Bay Ridge Ave., was mentioned multiple times on Facebook. The name VIN, meaning wine in French, defines the vintage feel of the house-setting in the eclectic Eastport neighborhood, according to the restaurant’s website. The restaurant serves American food, including hand-formed brick oven fired pizza, but soon will offer dishes inspired by the owners’ family roots in Italy and New England. One commenter on Facebook also suggests the restaurant’s seasonal menus. A sample menu is available online.
Jalapeños: Another favorite from multiple readers is this restaurant that serves authentic Spanish and Mexican food. The restaurant’s chef, Obed Serrano, is originally from Oxaca, Mexico, but has traveled to Spain to learn the art of traditional and modern Spanish food and tapas. The result has been a combination of the two cultures. If you’ve yet to try any of the tapas and entrees from this restaurant, it’s located at 85 Forest Plaza. Reservations can be made by calling 410-266-7580.

Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar: The very first comment from Facebook is from Brigette Chapman, who took the question one step further by saying if she could only pick one meal, it would be the fish tacos from this Latin American restaurant. The menu boasts freshly prepared guacamole, slow roasted and grilled meats, fresh seafood and homemade salsas. If you’re wondering about the rum bar part of the restaurant’s name, over 50 selections of rum are offered at Paladar. The restaurant is located at 1905 Towne Centre Boulevard and even offers complimentary valet parking in front of Gordon Biersch.
Boatyard Bar & Grill: This last one on the list didn’t have as many votes on Facebook, but it is the one restaurant on the list that celebrates Annapolis’ Chesapeake Bay lifestyle. Located at 400 Fourth St., Boatyard Bar & Grill is part of Restaurant Row in the historic maritime district of Eastport, a short walk or water taxi ride from Annapolis City Docks. Baltimore Magazine named the Boatyard’s crab cakes on its list of best in the region, according to the restaurant’s website. So, if you’re craving seafood and want to spend some time near the water, head down to the Boatyard and order some crab cakes.
