The winners were chosen after Open Table analyzed more than 5 million diner-submitted reviews of nearly 19,000 restaurants across the country, reports WNEW.

Annapolis Smokehouse and Tavern, located in the Bay Ridge Shopping Center, is the only Maryland winner on the elite list. The restaurant features live music on weekends, and compliments its meats (ribs, chicken, sausage, brisket, pulled pork) with fun menu items like chicken and waffles and Natty Boh beer-battered onion rings.
The most recent reviews from Open Table diners give it a thumbs up.

"This is the basic BBQ place, but it is very good for locals. … I always have good service and I love their appetizers (especially the wings). The beer list is awesome having local, and seasonal available,” wrote one local diner.
"The locally-made smoked sausages were delicious, and portions were generous,” wrote another customer. “By far my favorite part of the meal were the sautéed Brussels sprouts (really!)...buttery but still crunchy and bright green. The sweet potato mash tasted of Thanksgiving with cinnamon and spices.”
