Street Robbery Reported Near Massachusetts Avenue
A man was sprayed with a substance that may have been pepper spray, police said.

A man who was robbed on the street in Bethesda Sept. 15 was sprayed with a substance that may have been pepper spray, Montgomery County police said Tuesday.
A male suspect approached the man as he walked near Massachusetts Avenue and Baltimore Avenue around 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, according to a police crime summary. The suspect sprayed the victim with what may have been pepper spray and stole property, according to police spokeswoman Angela Cruz.
The victim attempted to get his property back from the suspect, but he wasn't able to after the substance took effect, Cruz said.

Police described the suspect as an adult white male, unshaven, with short hair.
The crime summary also reported an aggravated assault in the parking lot of the Sidwell Friends School at 5100 Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Two men attacked an adult male victim, Cruz said. The suspects and the victim knew each other, according to the crime summary.
Police describe the suspects as two black males, between 18 and 25 years old. The first suspect is described as between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall and between 160 and 180 pounds. The second suspect is described as between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 8 inches tall and between 160 and 170 pounds, with a mustache and braids.
