Suspect Apprehended In Deadly Domestic Abuse That Left 1 Critically Injured: Bowie Police
One person is dead and another critically injured in an apparent domestic dispute, according to the Bowie Police Department.
BOWIE, MD — One person died and another injured in an apparent domestic dispute Sunday, a Bowie Police report said. The suspect has been arrested and charged.
Officers from the Bowie Police Department were called to a home in the 12000 block of Blackwell Lane May 18 shortly before 4 p.m. for a report of a domestic dispute. Police found one person outside the home with serious injuries from an assault.
Inside the home, officers found a second individual who was pronounced dead, according to police. She has been identified as 72-year-old Susan Calero of Bowie. The first victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

On Monday, Prince George's County Police charged Calero's son, 40-year-old James Calero of Bowie, in connection to her death. He was apprehended Sunday by Anne Arundel County police officers. He now faces charges of first-degree murder, assault and related charges. He is in custody at the Department of Corrections.
