16-Year-Old Fatally Shot In Langley Park, Reward For Information Offered: PGPD

A $25K reward has been offered for information in the fatally shooting of a 16-year-old boy that happened Saturday night, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 16-year-old Sandy Spring teen was fatally shot Saturday. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.

On Aug. 10 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Prince George's police officers received a report about a shooting in the 1900 block of Lebanon Street in the Langley Park area. Officers found evidence of a shooting but were unable to find a victim at the scene. A short time later, detectives were notified that a gunshot victim, later identified as 16-year-old Carlos Segura III, was dropped off at a hospital. He died a short time later.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspect(s) in this case. If anyone has information relevant to this investigation, they are asked to call detectives at 301-516-2512.
