18-Year-Old Fatally Shot During Drug Deal In Greenbelt: PGPD
An 18-year-old Germantown man was fatally shot during a drug deal, according to PGPD. The suspect is in custody.
GREENBELT, MD — A 20-year-old Silver Spring man has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Rasheed Davis of Germantown.
On Dec. 15 at approximately 10:50 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road for a report of a shooting. They found Davis and another man with gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital where Davis was later pronounced dead. The surviving victim was admitted in critical condition where he remains hospitalized, according to the police department.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, 20-year-old Jaiden Thomas of Silver Spring, and Davis did not know each other and the shooting happened during a drug transaction.

Thomas has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and other related charges. He remains in custody.
