A second man also was found with a gunshot wound but his injuries are not considered life-threatening, the police department stated.
Following the shooting, 18-year-old Izayah Matthews of Temple Hills fled the scene. The PGPD’s Fugitive Unit located Matthews late Sunday night and took him into custody. The preliminary investigation suggests Matthews shot the victim during a dispute.
