2 Boaters Stranded, 1 Swam To Shore After Vessel Capsized: Prince George's Fire Dept.

Two boaters were stranded and one safely swam to shore after the boat they were on capsized early Monday morning, the PGFD reported.

All three individuals - two who remained with the capsized boat and one who swam to shore - were evaluated on the scene and refused transport to a hospital, the fire department reported.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Emergency workers with the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department were called out early Monday morning for a report of a capsized boat in the area of Swan Creek Road in Fort Washington.

The call came in around 7:27 a.m. Rescuers found one person had safely swam to shore with two others were with the sinking boat. All three individuals were evaluated on the scene and refused transport to a hospital, the fire department reported.
