2 Dunkin’ Regional Scholarship Winners Hail From Prince George's County

Dunkin' and its franchisees in the DMV area awarded each of these recipients with a $2,500 scholarship to pursue an undergraduate degree.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Ten students from across Howard, Harford and Prince George's counties are scholarship recipients of the annual Dunkin’ Regional Scholarship Program that awarded $125,000 in scholarships to 50 local students throughout Maryland, D.C., and northern Virginia.

Dunkin’ and its franchisees in the DMV area awarded each of these recipients with a $2,500 scholarship to pursue an undergraduate degree at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school of their choice in the fall.

Recipient: Jadon Walker
Hometown: Bowie
High School: Bowie High School
University: University of Maryland – College Park
Bio: Jadon is involved in the Black Student Union, Choir, Scholars Peer Mentor program, and In Da Shop, an all-men's discussion group. He also works as an NIH intern. He received the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Education Academic Excellence Award. His interests include music, fitness, binge-watching TV, charity work and mentoring. Jadon aims to work in the international relations field, potentially with the United Nations, the U.S. State Department or embassies or USAID.

Recipient: Gabriella Patrick
Hometown: Laurel
High School: Eleanor Roosevelt High School
University: Oxford College of Emory University
Bio: Gabriella was involved in the CFAR (Center for AIDS Research) Program and was named a CFAR Scholar who interned at GW University. She received recognition for completing her Research Practicum Biology course and earned the Science and Technology Program Diploma, as well as being an AP Capstone Completion Recipient. Gabriella was a member of the National Honor Society, and she served as the president of both the Science National Honor Society and the Math Honor Society. Additionally, she received the Presidential Volunteer Award from Luv Michael.
