2 Men Arrested In Connection To Feb. 2 Fatal Shooting In District Heights

Two men from D.C. and Oxon Hill have been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Tyler Fludd of Hyattsville​.

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — The Prince George’s County Police Department has charged two suspects in connection to a fatal shooting that happened Feb. 2 in District Heights.

Around 5:20 p.m. Feb. 2, police officers were called to the 5400 block of Silver Hill Road for a report of a shooting. They found 20-year-old Tyler Fludd of Hyattsville outside with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later, the police department disclosed.

A preliminary investigation indicates that one of the suspects, 18-year-old Jamiel Collins of Oxon Hill, and Fludd knew each other. Keyondre Joyner, 24, of Washington, D.C., and Collins planned to rob Fludd and Joyner shot Fludd during the robbery, according to the police department.

Joyner and Collins have been charged with first-degree murder and related charges. They are both in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status. Anyone with information about this case who would like to speak to a detective can call 301-516-2512.
