Two teens and two young adults have been charged in connection to the summertime fatal shooting of a 19-year-old.
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — Four suspects have been charged in connection to a fatal shooting that happened this past summer in Upper Marlboro. Two teens involved are being charged as adults.
On June 10 at approximately 3:15 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to a business located in the 5400 block of Marlboro Pike in District Heights. Officers found three victims with gunshot wounds. Anthony Ward III, 19, of Upper Marlboro was found dead at the scene. A man and a woman also were injured, according to police.
The preliminary investigation indicates the shootings were spurred by an ongoing dispute and the suspects and victims all knew each other. Police have arrested 19-year-old Michael Zion Jones of Brandywine, 19-year-old Jacorey White of Capitol Heights, a 16-year-old male from Hyattsville and a 17-year-old male from Fort Washington. The four suspects have been charged with first- and second-degree murder, attempted first- and second-degree murder and related charges.
