$25K Reward Offered For Info About Suspect Sought In New Carrollton​ Man's Fatal Shooting

A $25K reward has been offered for information about the suspect wanted in connection to a New Carrollton Man's fatal shooting, police say.

RIVERDALE, MD — Detectives are searching for the suspect they believe was involved in the fatal shooting of a New Carrollton man. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.

On April 11 at approximately 10:05 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 6600 block of Riverdale Road for a report of an unresponsive person. Officers found 58-year-old Adeyemi Martin of New Carrollton inside a stairwell with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A video released by the police department shows the suspect’s dark-colored car outside of the building leaving the murder scene. There also are multiple photos of the suspect – two photos where he is wearing a coat and two when the coat came off during a struggle with the victim, that the police department has released.

The motive for the murder is under investigation; however, detectives believe the murder may have happened during a robbery attempt, the police department stated. Anyone with information about the case who would like to speak to a detective can call 301-516-2512.
