3 More Suspects Arrested In Connection To String Of Carjackings: Prince George's Police

Three additional suspects have been arrested in connection to a string of carjackings in Maryland and the District of Columbia, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Three additional suspects have been arrested in connection to a rash of carjackings that have happened in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Elmer Bonilla, 22, was arrested at his home in the Brightwood neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Christian Rodriguez, 19, of Hyattsville was arrested in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dylan Giron, 22, was arrested at a relative’s home in northwest Washington, D.C.

On Feb. 28, Gregory Giron, 20, who lived in the Crestwood neighborhood of Washington, D.C., was taken into custody by Baltimore County Police following a vehicle pursuit. Giron was driving a Toyota Corolla that had just been carjacked. He was initially charged with one count of carjacking the Toyota Corolla.

On Aug, 1, the four co-defendants were charged in a 16-count superseding indictment for a string of offenses that happened between Dec. 12, 2023, and Feb. 27, 2024, which include:

• Jan. 5 carjacking of a Hyundai Elantra in the 3900 block of Georgia Avenue NW;
• Jan. 16 auto theft of a 2023 Kia Sportage in Hanover Pike, in Reisterstown, MD;
• Jan. 23 armed carjacking of a 2019 Dodge Challenger in the 7500 block of Eastern Avenue NW;
• Jan. 23 armed carjacking of a 2016 Dodge Challenger in the 1500 block of Decatur Street NW;
• Jan. 24 armed carjacking of a 2019 Dodge Charger in the 6400 block of Luzon Avenue, NW;
• Jan. 25 armed carjacking of a 2023 Honda Pilot in the 3200 block of P Street, NW;
• Jan. 25 armed carjacking, of a 2015 Infiniti Q50 in the 200 block of Pidco Road, Reisterstown, MD;
• Jan. 25 armed carjacking of a 2014 BMW 428i in the 5600 block of Sargeant Road, Hyattsville, MD

During the execution of the search warrants this week at the co-defendents’ residences, law enforcement recovered ammunition, firearms, a bullet proof vest, cash and imitation firearms.
