$50K Lotto Win Will Help Greenbelt Dad Buy Home For Family
A Greenbelt man who didn't start playing lottery games until 6 months ago has won $50K. He'll use the money to help buy a house.
GREENBELT, MD — A fairly new lottery player ended up winning $50K playing the 20X The Cash scratch ticket.
He started playing lottery games around six months ago and started out playing scratch tickets twice a week. One such ticket bought at Like on TV, a retailer located at 6198 Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt, ended up being a winner.
“I couldn’t do anything but drop to my knees and thank God,” the lotto winner told Maryland Lottery officials. “My kids thought I was joking, but I was in disbelief. This feels like a dream come true.”

This $50,000 top-prize win is his first lottery prize. He plans to use his windfall to purchase a home for his family.
The Prince George’s County store, Like on TV, will receive a $500 lottery bonus for its role in his win.
