6th Annual Purple Bike Ride Supports Domestic Violence Awareness Month
The 6th Annual Purple Bike Ride will be held Saturday in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Domestic Violence Awareness Month will be recognized in Prince George's County with the 6th Annual Purple Bike Ride.
“Domestic violence doesn’t discriminate,” said Prince George's County Executive Aisha Braveboy. “It affects individuals and families from every background, every neighborhood and every walk of life. Domestic violence is no longer only about violence between intimate partners. It is also intrafamily violence. Together, we can stand against it, speak out and break the cycle.”
This year’s event offers multiple ride options for participants of all levels, including a 30-mile advanced ride, 10-mile intermediate ride and a 3-mile family ride. Walkers also are encouraged
to join in support of this important cause.
