79-Year-Old Killed After Crashing Car Into 3 Parked Vehicles: Prince George's Police

A 79-year-old man has died after police say he crashed his vehicle into three parked cars in a Clinton parking lot.

CLINTON, MD — A 79-year-old Temple Hills man was killed Monday in a crash involving four vehicles in Clinton, police say.

On Aug. 5 around 12:30 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 6300 block of Coventry Way for a report of a crash. Kenneth Moore was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other three vehicles involved in the crash were parked and unoccupied. No other injuries were reported, police said.

The preliminary investigation revealed Moore was slowly driving in a parking lot when, for reasons now under investigation, his vehicle rapidly accelerated and abruptly turned, crossing over Coventry Way and crashing into unoccupied parked vehicles. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 301-731-4422.
