PGPD Aviation Unit's Technology Helps Track Down Suspects Hiding In Woods

The PGPD called in the aviation unit to help track down five suspects hiding in the woods and people's backyards.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The police department's aviation unit recently helped recover a stolen vehicle, drugs, a gun and various auto theft tools, as well as arrest five suspects, with their special technology.

OnStar contacted the Prince George's Police Department to help find a stolen vehicle the company was tracking earlier this month. Police officers found the vehicle in a neighborhood and saw five suspects run in different directions into the woods nearby and people's backyards. The aviation unit swooped in and helped patrol officers and K9 units find the suspects in the dense woods while flying up above. The incident can be seen in this video.
