Bowie Named Maryland's Best Place To Live In 2019
Rankings site HomeSnacks chose Bowie for its jobs, safety, education and other factors.

BOWIE, MD—Rankings site HomeSnacks has again named Bowie the best place to live in the state.
The study ranked the best place to live in every state—and the best places overall in the U.S. The results were based on a number of factors: median home values, median income, population density, unemployment rate, commute time, crime, education levels, health insurance coverage and poverty rates. The numbers came from the latest U.S. Census and FBI Crime data.
Cities were ranked on a scale of one to 10 for various factors. Bowie scored particularly well on housing, diversity, amenities, and education. It's no surprise that Bowie didn't score as high on affordability and commutes.
