Boyfriend Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Girlfriend In Fort Washington Home: PGPD

The boyfriend of 37-year-old Edna Lyles has been arrested and charged in connection to her fatal shooting, according to police.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — The boyfriend of an Accokeek woman has been arrested and charged in connection to her murder, police say.

On Feb. 5 around 12:15 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 15700 block of Livingston Road in Fort Washington for a report of a shooting. They found 37-year-old Edna Lyles in her home with gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The preliminary investigation indicates that 31-year-old David Wilson Jr. of Accokeek shot Lyles during an argument. Responding Fort Washington Division VII patrol officers arrested the suspect not far from the scene, police said.

Wilson has been charged with first- and second-degree murder. He's in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
