Change a Life Over Lunch: Become a Teen Mentor in Bowie This School Year
Bowie Youth & Family Services seeks volunteer mentors for 2025–26 to meet weekly with local teens. Male mentors especially needed.

We are recruiting volunteer mentors for The Teen Mentor Program for the 2025-2026 school year. The Teen Mentor Program is a program of Bowie Youth & Family Services. The program has been active since 2002, and we welcome new mentors to begin each school year. It is a school-based program that matches an adult mentor with a local student in grades 8 – 12 for in-person meetings.
As a volunteer mentor, you will spend one hour a week, over lunch, building a positive relationship with a student. Mentors have the potential to change the course of a teen’s school experience, his/her life, and our community. Further, there is a critical need for male mentors. Your involvement has the potential to change the course of a teen’s school experience, his/her life, and your community. It’s a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a student’s life!
