Three Residents, Including 1 Child, Displaced In Saturday Night Camp Springs House Fire
A house fire broke out Saturday shortly after 6 p.m. in Camp Springs. A child and 2 adults were displaced; the Red Cross is assisting them.

CAMP SPRINGS, MD — A house fire broke out at a two-story single family home in Camp Springs Saturday night, displacing two adults and one child.
According to the Prince George's County Department of Fire/EMS Services, firefighters were called to the home around 6:04 p.m. April 12. The home is located in the 7800 block of Jaywick Avenue. They arrived to find flames shooting through the roof of the garage. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and it's being investigated, the department stated. The Red Cross will be assisting the family.
Just four days before, the fire and EMS department reported that on April 8, firefighters and EMTs were called to assist with 561 incidents in just one day. Those calls included seven confirmed structure fires, 171 advanced life support incidents, 227 basic support incidents and 34 rescue calls.
