D.C. Woman Dies After Crashing Vehicle Into Trees, Passenger Injured: PGPD
A D.C. woman died after crashing her vehicle into trees in District Heights. The incident injured a passenger.
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — A 31-year-old Washington, D.C., woman has died after the vehicle she was driving left the road and crashed into trees.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department, on Jan. 26 around 2:20 a.m., officers were called to the 6800 block of Marlboro Pike for a report of a single-vehicle crash. They found Erika Boykin dead at the scene and her female passenger injured. She was taken to the hospital for treatment, the police department stated.
The preliminary investigation revealed Boykin's vehicle was northbound on Marlboro Pike near Walters Lane, when for reasons under investigation, she lost control and her vehicle hit several trees.
