Driver Injured In January Car Crash Dies Days Later

An 86-year-old Greenbelt man involved in a car crash Jan. 23 has died of his injuries, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An 86-year-old driver involved in a car crash Jan. 23 has died of his injuries.

The incident happened around 4:10 p.m. Jan. 23 in the area of Glenn Dale Boulevard and Daisy Lane, and involved two vehicles that collided in the intersection. Paul Benoit, 86, of Greenbelt was injured in the accident and taken to the hospital where he died almost two weeks later on Feb. 4. The other driver was uninjured, according to police.
