Detectives Seek Additional Info After Driver Dies Crashing Into Parked Car
A driver has died after police say the person crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit a parked car. A passenger was injured, PGPD said.
ADELPHI, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal collision that happened early Monday morning. They ask that anyone with information about the single vehicle crash reach out to them.
On May 5 around 12:50 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 8600 block of Riggs Road for a report of a crash. They found the driver of a vehicle with life-threatening injuries and a passenger with minor injuries. The driver, a man yet to be identified by the police department, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to the police department.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was traveling northbound on Riggs Road when the driver crossed over to the southbound lanes and hit an unoccupied, parked vehicle. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call detectives at 301-731-4422.
