Elite Riders, Show Jumping Champions Competing At International Horse Show
People have a few more days to catch a show or competition at the 2025 Washington International Horse Show in Upper Marlboro.
UPPER MARLBORO, MD — The 2025 Washington International Horse Show will wrap up Sunday with plenty for people to enjoy while it's in town.
Currently held at The Show Place Arena and Prince George’s Equestrian Center, for more than 65 years, WIHS has brought together elite riders, show jumping champions and equestrian enthusiasts from around the globe.
Daytime events are free to the public so visitors can experience the equestrian sport up close. Evening shows, held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, require tickets.

Thursday will be Military Night, honoring service members and featuring the $63,000 Welcome Stake and the $63,000 Stars and Stripes Speed Stake for international jumpers competing for the prestigious Eisenhower Cup Trophy.
Friday will be MARS Barn Night, a crowd favorite featuring the $63,000 Accumulator Costume Class, Shetland Pony Steeplechase Championship Race, autograph sessions and contests for prizes. This year’s theme, “Wild for WIHS,” invites fans to show their safari spirit. The night also features a special performance by internationally acclaimed equestrian artist Sylvia Zerbini and her 12 Arabian horses.

Saturday will be World Cup Night showcasing the $340,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup and the Washington CSI5-W, bringing the world’s top show jumping athletes to Prince George’s County.
