Family 'Lotto Roulette' Game Wins $50K For Prince George's Resident

A Prince George's woman won $50K on a lotto ticket that was part of her family's Lotto Roulette game, lottery officials said.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A friendly game of Lotto Roulette played by a Maryland family ended up netting $50,000 for a Prince George's woman.

Each person attending the family gatherings brings a Maryland Lottery scratch-off or draw game ticket. The tickets go into a pile and each of the adult family members at the gathering pick a lotto ticket to play.

One family member bought a $10 Powerball quick-pick ticket for that latest family game at Riggs Grocery, located at 5405 Kenilworth Avenue in Riverdale. A lucky Prince George’s County member of the family selected that ticket during the game and later discovered Lottery luck had come her way. She was one of two Marylanders to win a $50,000 third-tier prize in the drawing.
