Firefighter Facing Child Porn Charges Held Without Bond
A Frederick County firefighter who works in Prince George's has been denied bond and faces 16 charges related to child porn.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Frederick County man who works as a firefighter for Prince George's County is being held without bond after being charged with multiple counts of possessing and distributing child pornography.
Joshua Edmund Murphy, 35, of Brunswick was arrested Oct. 24 and faces 16 counts relating to possessing and distributing child pornography.
Court documents state that Murphy would use the internet at the Chillum Fire Station, where he worked, to upload the material on the social media app, Kik, reported DC News Now.

“Child pornography crimes are troubling anyway, but when a person that holds the trust of our community is accused of such crimes, it is deeply troubling,” Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Tara Jackson stated.
