Free Dog, Cat Adoptions Through April 30 From Prince George's Animal Control

Thanks to a $50K grant from Best Friends Animal Society, Prince George's residents can adopt a cat or dog for free through April 30.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Now through April 30, the county will offer free dog and cat adoptions thanks to a $50,000 grant from Best Friends Animal Society, a leading animal welfare organization. Adopters can meet and take a pet home the same day.

Animal Services Facility and Adoption Center also seeks qualified foster homes to help control the shelter’s pet population. Interested adopters and fosters can view available pets at www.princegeorgespets4us.com. They can also visit the facility at 3750 Brown Station Road in Upper Marlboro, Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., or call 301-780-7235 for more information.

Standard adoption processes and a $10 license fee for residents apply.
