Greenbelt 18-Year-Old Charged In Philly Teenage Girl's Death
Philadelphia Police say a Greenbelt 18-year-old has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl.
GREENBELT, MD — A Prince George's man has been charged in connection to the shooting of a Philadelphia teen girl.
Anas Bey, 18, of Greenbelt has been arrested and charged with third-degree murder, possessing an instrument of crime, involuntary manslaughter and recklessly endangering another person, Philadelphia police stated.
The shooting happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. Oct. 14 inside a home located on the 2400 block of North Colorado Street in Philadelphia. When police arrived at the home, they found a semiconscious 16-year-old girl inside with a gunshot wound to the stomach and leg, reported 10 Philadelphia.

The teen, later identified as Londyn Major, was taken to Temple University Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 6:46 p.m. a short time later, police stated. They said she did not live at the home where she was shot but was known to visit family and friends who lived at the property.
Investigators determined the girl was shot inside a rear bedroom on the second floor of the home where they found a spent shell casing from a semiautomatic weapon, a loaded magazine and blood. Police recovered two semiautomatic handguns from the home, according to police officers.

Detectives said an 18-year-old man, later identified as Bey, was inside the room with the girl at the time of the shooting. Bey was taken into custody at the scene, Philadelphia Police stated. There also were approximately 10 people inside the home, including children younger than five, at the time of the shooting.
According to The Baltimore Sun, Major was an 11th grade student at Tech Freire Charter High School. Two years ago, her brother, Nafis, also was shot and killed in North Philadelphia at age 16, 6ABC reported.
