Hit-And-Run Victim Dies From Injuries 58 Days After October Crash

A 47-year-old man has died 58 days after he was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Temple Hills, according to Prince George's Police.

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — A 47-year-old man who was injured in a hit-and-run Oct. 17 has died of his injuries.

On Oct. 17, Prince George's police officers were called to the 4300 block of St. Barnabas Road for a report of a hit-and-run collision involving a person, later identified at Deon Anthony Smith of no known address. He died of his injuries Dec. 14, according to police.

The preliminary investigation indicated the involved driver hit Smith victim on St. Barnabas Road. The driver did not remain on scene. Officers are working to identify the driver and vehicle involved in the incident. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call detectives at 301-731-4422.
