Firefighter Falls Partway Through Burned Floor Of Two-Story Bowie Home
A firefighter fell partway through a hole in the burned floor of a Bowie home that was on fire, according to Prince George's Co. officials.
BOWIE, MD — A firefighter fell partway through a burned out hole in the floor of a home that was on fire in Bowie Thursday morning.
According to the Prince George's County Fire and Rescue Department, the fire broke out around 8:27 a.m. at a home located in the 2100 block of Bermondsey Drive. The fire was found on the second floor and was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
The firefighter who fell partway through the hole in the floor was immediately assisted by fellow crew members. The firefighter was evaluated by EMS and wasn't injured, the department stated.

Four residents were displaced and were alerted to the fire by a working smoke alarm. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
