About 207,131 voters cast their ballots in Prince George’s County, representing a turnout that was below the state average.

In Prince George’s County, 38.03 percent of registered voters turned out for the election, versus 44.72 percent across Maryland.

Absentee ballots must still be counted, a process that will get underway in the coming days. There were more than 5,598 absentee ballots sent in Prince George’s County, state election officials reported.

Official results will be certified by local boards, then state officials before they are delivered under seal on Dec. 10, according to the Maryland State Board of Elections.
