PG Police Search For Man With Dementia In Frigid Weather

Authorities in 2 counties are searching for 65-year-old Daniel Dehaven, a missing man who was last seen at a Costco in Beltsville.

BELTSVILLE, MD — Authorities have mounted an around-the-clock search for a man missing from Beltsville who suffers from dementia and is not able to communicate. Given the single-digit overnight low temperatures, Prince George's County Police say it is critical that they find Daniel Dehaven, 65, immediately. He was last seen at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. He was at a Costco in the 10900 block of Baltimore Ave. in Beltsville, officials said.

Police said Dehaven's family is extremely concerned about his welfare. Dehaven is 5'9", weighs 175 pounds and has brown eyes and partially gray hair. He was last seen wearing a black coat, blue jeans and a gray hat. Dehaven did not have identification on him when he disappeared, police said.

"With current freezing temperatures, we have dedicated around-the-clock manpower to this active investigation, but so far we have been unable to locate him," police said.
