CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD -- Police are searching for a suspect after a body was discovered inside of a burning car in Capitol Heights Tuesday night. Police were called to the <a href="http://pgpolice.blogspot.com/2019/05/pgpd-investigates-homicide-in-town-of.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">report of a car fire</a> on Akin Avenue at around 10:20 p.m, and they found an unknown victim badly burned inside of the car once firefighters extinguished the flames, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. An autopsy performed on the body on Wednesday determined that the victim had also suffered a gunshot wound, and police are treating the case as a homicide, the report states. Police have not yet identified the victim.
