Man With Loaded Gun, Bag Of Drugs Found Unconscious Outside Residence: Greenbelt PD

A woman reported a man trying to enter her home. Police found him outside the building unconscious with a loaded gun and a bag of drugs.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with possession of a regulated firearm, knowingly altering a firearm, a loaded handgun on a person and CDS with intent to distribute after Greenbelt Police found him unconscious outside a woman's residence.

GREENBELT, MD — A man has been arrested after Greenbelt police officers found him passed out in front of a woman's building with a loaded gun in plain sight and an assortment of drugs in a bag, police said.

The incident happened Aug. 4 in the 7500 block of Mandan Road around 4 a.m. The woman told police the man had attempted to enter her home. Officers discovered the man who matched the woman's description outside her building.

The loaded gun's serial numbers had been scratched off, police said.

Paramedics were called to the scene to check out the 20-year-old man before he was taken into custody. He's been charged with possession of a regulated firearm, knowingly altering a firearm, a loaded handgun on a person and CDS with intent to distribute. Other charges may be added, police said.
