Motorcyclist Dies In Prince George's County Crash: Police

A motorcyclist died after colliding with a work truck on Marlboro Pike at Boones Lane Tuesday night, police said.

(Updated at 3:42 p.m.) DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — A motorcyclist died after colliding with a pickup truck in District Heights Tuesday evening, police said. The victim has been identified as George Hunt Jr., 57, of District Heights.

At about 6:45 p.m., patrol officers were called to Marlboro Pike at Boones Lane for the report of a collision. The motorcycle driver, Hunt Jr., collided with a pickup truck and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were not injured, police said.

Officers believe the pickup truck was heading westbound on Marlboro Pike and the motorcycle was heading eastbound. It appears the collision occurred when the truck made a left turn in front of the motorcycle, police said.
