Police Arrest Laurel Woman Found Naked, Wandering Hotel Halls After Being Warned

LAUREL, MD — A 54-year-old Laurel woman has been arrested after she was found wandering the halls of a hotel naked twice within two hours.

Charnella Scarlett Rosenthal was staying at the Hampton Inn on Welton Drive in Cumberland. Cumberland police officers were called to the hotel Monday for a welfare check. They found Rosenthal naked and wandering around, causing a disturbance, the police department stated. Officers took her back to her room and warned her not to create anymore disturbances, the police department stated.

Two hours later, the police department was called again about Rosenthal wandering the halls naked. This time, police officers found her trying to get into another person's room. Officers arrested Rosenthal who is being held on a temporary commitment at the Allegany County Detention Center. She's been charged with disorderly conduct, fail to obey and indecent exposure.
