New Affordable Housing Community Opens In Prince George's County
A new affordable housing community has opened in Prince George's County with multi-family and senior residences.
PRINDE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Woodyard Station, a new affordable housing community in Clinton, has opened with multi-family and senior residences.
Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development provided $3 million in HOME Investment Partnerships Program funding and a Payment in Lieu of Taxes to help bring this project to fruition. HOME funding helps make it possible for low-and moderate-income families to live in brand-new construction developments with modern amenities.
“We are Prince George’s Proud to officially welcome Woodyard Station to our county and provide yet another affordable, high quality, senior and multi-family housing opportunity for our residents,” said Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks. “We know that housing diversity builds strong neighborhoods, and this new development further showcases our continued commitment to preserving housing affordability and diversifying our housing stock. Ensuring equitable growth and the creation of quality affordable housing is a cornerstone of our Administration’s economic development platform, and we are excited to deliver on our promises and help improve the quality of life for all Prince Georgians.”
