The state agency continues to investigate the circumstances of the shooting. A preliminary investigation showed that on April 20, at about 10:15 a.m., officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department were called to the 100 block of St. George Blvd. in Oxon Hill (National Harbor) after receiving a 911 call for a report of a shooting or cutting at that location.
Officers found a man with a knife — later identified as Bucknor — and even though he was told to drop the knife, he did not comply and moved toward one of the officers. The officer backed away and he and another officer fired their service weapons, hitting the man, the report said.

Bucknor turned and walked several feet before collapsing on the ground, according to the attorney general's office. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Surveillance camera and private dashboard footage shows what transpired between the officers and Bucknor, officials said. That incident is connected to a stabbing reported by Prince George's Police around 8:20 a.m. Sunday.
Police were notified of a stabbing that happened in the 8300 block of Indian Head Highway at St. George Boulevard & Potomac Passage. Officers found a man and woman with critical stab wounds and discovered that the stabbing suspect had set fire to their apartment. The police department said the stabbing was domestic-related and the suspect knew the victims.
