Pedestrian Hit By Car In PG County Last December Dies: Police
A pedestrian who was struck by a car in Prince George's County last December has died of his injuries, police say.

LANHAM, MD — A man has died from his injuries more than seven months after being struck by a car in Lanham, police say.
Police were called to the area of Whitfield Chapel Road and Annapolis Road on Dec. 7 to a report of a pedestrian who had been struck, and found 25-year-old Anthony Butcher suffering from injuries, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.
Butcher was taken to the hospital, and the driver was uninjured.

"The preliminary investigation reveals the involved car was traveling southbound on Whitfield Chapel Road at the time of the collision," the report states. "Butcher was attempting to cross that roadway when he was struck. He was not in a crosswalk at the time. The driver remained on the scene."
Butcher succumbed to his injuries last week, police say.
