Prince George's County Public Schools Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Summer is almost over for Maryland students. The first day of school for Prince George's County Public Schools students will be Aug. 26.

Aug. 23 will be Student Orientation Day for new and transitioning students. Back to School events will be held at school buildings throughout the month of September.

There will be several community information sessions regarding transportation held this month. View the meeting locations, dates and times here.

There will be a back to school special education virtual town hall Aug. 15 starting at 6:30 p.m. Register online.

There also will be a Back-to-School Drive and Dash at Charles Herbert Flowers, High Point and Oxon Hill high schools Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. or while supplies last.

Nov. 1 - Grading & Reporting Day for Teachers – 3 Hour Early Dismissal for Students
