Police Find Woman In Roadway After Fatal Hit-And-Run In Oxon Hill

PGPD officers found a woman lying in the road after she was a victim in a fatal hit-and-run in Oxon Hill.

OXON HILL, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal hit and run that happened Wednesday in Oxon Hill.

On Dec. 11 around 6:10 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Saint Barnabas Road and the Capital Beltway for a report of a collision involving a person. Officers found a woman in the road with trauma. She was pronounced dead on the scene according to the police department.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the involved driver hit the victim in the westbound lanes of Saint Barnabas Road. The driver did not remain on scene. Detectives eventually were able to identify the driver and the vehicle involved.
