Police Investigating PG County Homicide

OXON HILL, MD -- A man was shot to death earlier this week in Oxon Hill, and police are trying to identify a suspect.

Police identified the victim as 24-year-old Ravond Simms of D.C., and detectives do not believe that this is a random crime, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Police were called to the 5200 block of Kenmont Road at around midnight on May 7 to a report of a shooting, and found Simms suffering from gunshot wounds, the report states. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
