Police Make Second Arrest in Bowie-Area Homicide

Demarco Gregory James, 30, is facing first degree murder charges in connection with the August 2013 slaying of a DC man.

Prince George's County Police have arrested Demarco Gregory James, 30, of Northeast Washington in connection with an August 2013 Bowie-area murder

Police found Michael Leo Reese, 27, of Southeast Washington, DC, shot to death inside a residence in the 2500 block of Nicol Circle, in the unincorporated area of Bowie, during the early morning hours of Aug. 11.

Shortly after the murder, police arrested Vincent Michael Martin, 32, of Northeast Washington in connection with the crime. Police also obtain a warrant for James at that time.

Police say their initial investigation into the incident revealed that James confronted Reese in the home and shot him. The home was the residence of Reese's ex-girlfriend. Martin is accused of assisting James, police said.

James was arrested in Washington, DC and is being held without bond on first degree murder charges.
