Police Seek Driver In Fatal Hit-And-Run In Prince George's County

Detectives are searching for the driver of a gold pick-up truck that struck and killed a Suitland man.

SUITLAND, MD — Detectives with the Prince George's County Police Department are seeking information on a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run that occurred in Suitland last week.

Police were called to the 4500 block of Suitland Rd. for a pedestrian collision at about 8:15 p.m. Aug. 31. Arriving officers found Perrier Clayton, 29, of Suitland in critical condition. Clayton succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital, police said.

Police believe a gold pickup truck was heading westbound on Suitland Road when it struck Clayton, who was standing in the road. The driver then fled the scene.
