Suspect Wanted For Shooting 3 People, 1 Fatally, In Mount Rainier Has Been Arrested

The suspect wanted for shooting 3 people in Mount Rainier, 1 fatally, has been arrested and charged in the case, police say.

MOUNT RAINIER, MD — The suspect sought in connection to a fatal shooting that happened Sept. 23 in Mount Rainier has been arrested.

On Sept. 23 around 7:30 p.m., Mount Rainier police officers were called to the 3400 block of Rhode Island Avenue for a report of a shooting. They found 22-year-old Freiyer Yanez-Salas of Washington, D.C., inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man and a woman also had been shot and were taken to the hospital with critical injuries, according to Prince George's Police.

The preliminary investigation indicates that 39-year-old Louis Gregory of Brentwood shot the victims during a dispute. Gregory has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and other related charges.
