Suspect Who Fatally Shot Store Employee Taking Out Trash Arrested, Charged With Murder
The suspect wanted for fatally shooting a convenience store employee taking out the trash has been arrested and charged with murder: PGPD.
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — The suspect wanted for shooting a convenience store employee taking the trash out Wednesday afternoon has been arrested.
On Dec. 18 around 3 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 6700 block of Walker Mill Road for a report of shooting. The victim, 31-year-old Rakib Rakib of Temple Hills, was found outside with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.
The preliminary investigation indicated the store employee was approached by the suspect while taking out the trash. The suspect demanded the store employee turn over his property and shot him. Detectives do not believe they were known to each other, the police department stated.

Geonte McNeil-Williams, 25, of Upper Marlboro has been arrested in connection to this shooting. He's been charged with first- and second-degree murder, as well as related charges, the police department said.
