Teen Arrested For Shooting Stepfather In PG County: Police

Police arrested a 17-year-old accused of shooting his stepfather after an argument.

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD -- A teenager is behind bars after police say he shot his stepfather after an argument at his home in District Heights.

Police were called to the 6800 block of Atwood Street at around 5:25 p.m. on Dec. 8 to a report of a shooting, and found 32-year-old Antoine Colter of D.C. suffering from gunshot wounds inside of an apartment there, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. Colter was pronounced dead shortly after.

Police arrested 17-year-old Jonte Graham, who lived at that address. They say that after an argument, Graham shot Colter, who was married to Graham's mother.

Police charged Graham with first and second degree murder. He is being held without bond.
